About Bows

Bows opened in January ’03. Numbers attending are flexible and are usually between twelve and twenty-four. Staffing ratio is 1:4.

Bows have two rooms. A carpeted room and one with a hard floor to enable staff to provide a range of activities.

We have a very wide range of equipment and activities include sand, water, painting, sticking, drawing, imaginative play, construction, book, music/singing, computer etc. Activities are planned using Birth To 3 Matters Guidance and children are well supported by staff during these.

Feedback
Parents are kept up to date with their child’s day through a Daily Feedback Book.

Staff also keep notes of each child’s development in a ‘profile’. This records his/her development ‘milestones’ etc. It also helps staff to plan for with the next stage of development. Photographs are included. Parents can see these at any time.
